A trip to Bermuda would be incomplete for an ardent fisherman without 'wetting' a line! A great day's Deep Sea Fishing depends on luck and a lot of skill. Bring your luck by all means, but let the rest be taken care of by Captain Kevin Winter and his dedicated crew aboard Playmate.
Playmate Charters had its origins with the father/son team of Captains Keith (1935 - 2009) and Kevin Winter. This winning team provided clients with a combination of over 75 years of worldwide fishing experience. Today, Captain Kevin Winter still ensures a first-class day of fishing for avid anglers in our beautiful Bermuda waters.
If your fishing knowledge is limited but you want to try your hand at deep sea fishing, you will be coached every step of the way and YOU just may be the next World Record holder! We will take you to the best locations in order to improve your chances of landing a Marline, Wahoo or Tuna.
The Playmate
The Playmate is a 43ft Torres Sports Fisherman. The name 'Playmate' relates back to many childhood memories of good times on another family boat, also named Playmate. Your safety is our utmost concern and Playmate is fully equipped to meet the high standards required for offshore fishing by Bermuda Regulations.
Playmate is powered by a Cummins QSM 11 660 horse power diesel engine. She holds 600 gallons of fuel and has a 100-gallon fresh water tank. Electronics include a GPS positioning device, Auto Pilot, Fish Finder, VHF radio, EPIRB, cellular phone, a Sirius Satellite stereo sound system and air conditioning for your fishing comfort.
Fishing equipment: Tournament tackle, 12lb through to 130lb; Fighting Chair; two Fishing Chairs; Outriggers; Downriggers; Kites and all accessories for modern game fishing. If you aren't sure of the right tackle to use in various situations, we will gladly assist you to make the right choice
