Anguilla winter 2006-07 update on accommodations

Hotel and villa specials and news

New York, NY, USA (September 2006) – The Caribbean island of Anguilla will be hotter than ever this winter with the opening of it’s first 18-hole championship golf course, new luxury villas and hotel packages to indulge the most discriminating traveller. Some of the world’s best beaches, delicious cuisine and accommodations to suit every budget put Anguilla on the top of the warm-weather getaway list this winter. Highlights of hotel and villa special packages and news for the 2006/2007 winter season include the following:

HOTEL NEWS AND SPECIAL PACKAGES

ARAWAK BEACH INN: The perfect getaway in a casual and relaxed home-away-from-home atmosphere, Arawak Beach Inn is comprised of just 17 accommodations painted in pretty pastel shades with a distinctly Caribbean flavour. The inn features a pool, the Arawak Beach Inn Café, a bar and oceanfront accommodations boasting a balcony or deck with spectacular views, king- or queen-sized bed, refrigerator and private bath. Most oceanfront deluxe rooms also include cable TV and four-poster beds. But the best part may be Maria Hawkins, Arawak’s exuberant innkeeper extraordinaire who offers chauffeured rides around the island in the inn’s pick-up truck and invites guest into the kitchen to whip up their favourite meal. For reservations call 1-877-4-ARAWAK or e-mail relax@arawakbeach.com. For information see their accommodation listing under Anguilla at www.caribbean.com.

The package includes daily American breakfast, two dinners at the Arawak Beach Inn Café, private day excursion plus gourmet lunch on a secluded beach on an uninhabited island, one-day car rental and all transfers.
