Aruba resort combines room categories to give guests more

All guests of Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive now have full use of the adjacent Divi Aruba All Inclusive

Oranjestad, Aruba (October 12, 2006) – Starting December 23, 2006, all guests who stay at the Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive will have full use of the features and facilities of the adjacent Divi Aruba All Inclusive. This change essentially doubles what Tamarijn Aruba guests receive as part of their stay with the addition of an entire second resort at their disposal! Previously, guests staying at Tamarijn Aruba had to book a deluxe oceanfront room in order to have full use of the features and facilities at the Divi Aruba included in their stay.

Readers of Caribbean Travel & Life magazine selected the Divi Aruba as the leading all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean in the 2005 Caribbean Travel & Life Best of the Caribbean Readers Choice Awards. Currently, this publication has nominated the Tamarijn Aruba for the leading all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean and the Divi Aruba for the best family resort in the Caribbean.

Located just ten minutes from the airport and five minutes from Aruba’s capital city of Oranjestad, the Tamarijn Aruba is set on beautiful Druif Beach with a shopping arcade and the Alhambra Casino nearby. A stay at this freshly renovated low-rise resort includes oceanfront accommodations, each with air conditioning, its own patio or balcony, colour satellite television, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, mini-fridge and telephone; all meals and snacks at a choice of seven dining outlets; unlimited beverages at seven bars; the use of three freshwater pools; and the use of all facilities and services at the Divi Aruba, located next door.

In addition, all guests may use the well-equipped Divi Winds Sports Center, which features an air-conditioned, oceanfront fitness centre with the latest strength and cardiovascular equipment, as well as a 30-foot outdoor rock climbing wall on the beach. The Divi Winds Sports Center also boasts non-motorized watersports, including snorkelling equipment, snorkel clinic and tour, sunfish sailing, floats, kayaks, beginner’s windsurfing equipment and a Learn to Windsurf beach clinic. Tennis, beach volleyball, beach Olympics, bikes and bike tour, tennis clinic, casino table games, arts and crafts, dance lessons, beach soccer, billiards, board games, darts, basketball, Papiamento lessons, entertainment nightly, theme nights, ticket to Bon Bini Festival (seasonal), Funbook! with coupons for the adjacent Alhambra Casino, tax and service charges are further all part of what guests receive at Tamarijn Aruba.

The Links at Divi Aruba is an optional amenity that offers discounted green fees and premium tee times to guests of the resort. The nine-hole course features an on-site golf school and clubhouse with pro shop. Another optional amenity, the Indulgence by the Sea spa, features pampering treatments from massages to facials to body scrubs. In addition, an air-conditioned Internet Lounge featuring twelve computer stations with high-speed Internet access (for an additional fee) is located in the lobby of the Tamarijn Aruba. Wi-Fi has also just been added in all guest rooms and common areas, as well as in-room ResortLynx with Video-on-Demand movies, e-mail and Internet access for an additional charge.

For those who want to see the island, the concierge desk can make arrangements for various off-property trips from downtown shopping excursions or restaurant reservations to catamaran cruises and more.

Family, honeymoon and dive packages are also available. Rates, features and facilities are subject to change without notice. Certain restrictions may apply and no refunds will be given for unused features.

For reservations and more information call 1-800-554-2008, (207) 594-7888 or see the resorts’ accommodations listings under Aruba at www.caribbean.com.
