Aruba resort announces special offer to mark the start of a $40 million enhancement program

Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino offers $240 worth of free amenities

Palm Beach, Aruba (July 2, 2007) – On July 7, 2007, Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino begins a $40 million enhancement program, scheduled for completion by December 2007. To kick off the renovations, and in honour of Marriott’s 80th anniversary, the resort has announced an “80 Days Only” promotional package. The offer includes $240 worth of free amenities and will be available for a booking period of 80 days from the July 7 renovation start date and valid for a travel period of 80 days starting August 29.

The “80 Days Only” package includes $80 of complimentary gaming chips for Stellaris Casino, an 80-minute massage at award-winning Mandara Spa and an $80 food and beverage credit. Rates starts at $249 per night, based on double occupancy and availability, excluding taxes and gratuities, and are valid for travel August 29 through November 17, 2007. Blackout dates apply. A five-night minimum stay is required. Promotional code P50.

The $40 million renovation includes a total makeover to each of the resort’s 413 guest rooms, a revitalization and expansion to La Vista, one of the main dining facilities, an overhaul of the lobby and reception area and upgrades and enhancements to the pool area.

The South Tower will be the first of three phases to undergo room renovations in order to compartmentalize the work and minimize interference with the resort. Upon completion of the South Tower, renovations will move to the North Tower and then to the Atrium rooms, with total completion by the end of 2007. New furnishings with a sleek, modern design will replace the current look along with Marriott International’s latest features in design and state-of-the-art technology, including LCD televisions and the ability to connect laptops, iPods and other electronic devices to charge and play direct through television sets. Bedding will be replaced with Marriott’s indulgent Revive bedding, accompanied by crisp, white duvets and complemented by colourful accent pillows. Marble floors and counters will replace the bathroom tiles, and contemporary sink fixtures and rain-style showerheads will be installed.

Enhancements to the La Vista dining establishment will also begin late this summer, which will include new décor, furnishings and an updated menu. The new restaurant will serve three meals a day: à la carte and buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the renovation, breakfast and dinner will be served daily to guests in the resort’s Grand Ballroom. Beautification and renewal of the lobby and pool area will also take place as part of this program, bringing an updated and modern look to the resort.

Designated among the “World’s Best Places to Stay” by Condé Nast Traveler’s 2006 Gold List, Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino boasts 413 guest rooms – the most spacious on the island – each with large, private balconies overlooking the lush landscape and the sparkling waters of the Caribbean Sea. On property, seven restaurants and cafés provide fare from light to elegant, while the largest casino in Aruba, a 6,500 square foot spa, free-form swimming pool with cascading waterfalls and high-energy health club offer entertaining diversions.
