All accommodations on properties exude great charm. Built in a traditional Caribbean style, each one is surrounded by lush green palm trees and has direct access to the white-sand beach. Designed with minimalist eco-chic in mind, the subtle natural color schemes and luxury white fabrics provide a calm, cool space to unwind in, while the private verandas are the perfect spot to sit back on and take in the vista.

Dining
When it's time to eat at Tiamo, you will discover a wonderful dining experience. The sophisticated, natural approach that defines our resort's philosophy is applied to the food we serve in our restaurant, and our Michelin-trained chef will ensure you're in very capable hands. Savour the flavours of carefully crafted Caribbean and fusion cuisine, made using the freshest local and organic ingredients, and complemented by an excellent selection of wines from some of the world's best vineyards.

The ambience of the restaurant is stylish yet relaxing. Colorful artwork adorns the sea blue wood walls, candles light the tables, and the gentle, tropical breeze and sounds of the sea form the ultimate backdrop as you enjoy your meal. Beach-side chic dining at its best. And of course, three meals per day and regular soft drinks are included in the price of your stay.

For an extra serving of romance with your evening meal, choose to dine alfresco on the terrace. Come at sunset to take in the splendid views over the pool to the ocean as you enjoy the European inspired fusion cuisine and a glass of something refreshing. Or arrive later for a moonlit dinner for two under the Caribbean night sky and let the tantalizing aromas of barbecued seafood that drift up from the lower deck set your appetite racing.

Location
No location conjures up the image of the quintessential Caribbean more readily than that of the Bahamas, and Tiamo is situated right at the very heart of these much loved islands. Set in a sheltered cove, Tiamo guests find themselves surrounded by verdant palm forests fringed with sumptuous white-sand beaches, kissed by the bluest, clearest waters imaginable. The island itself boasts a pristine natural landscape. Much of the interior is covered in unspoiled tropical vegetation and is a habitat for some amazing wildlife, while the east coast is dotted with only a handful of small settlements, friendly and full of local character. With only around 2000 residents, South Andros remains largely unchanged from generations past; it's a place that oozes charm and intrigue, is rich with history and authentic native culture, and evokes in visitors a touch of nostalgia for a bygone era of travel and exploration. It's the Caribbean at its idyllic, romantic best.

Getting There
When we say we're secluded and exclusive, we mean it. We're not connected by road, so to get to the resort you'll have to take a boat or seaplane. There's an airport on South Andros, Congo Town International, which receives flights from Nassau and Fort Lauderdale, and from there it's a short boat ride, skippered by one of our boat captains, to Tiamo. Flying time from Fort Lauderdale is about an hour, and just a 15 minute hop from Nassau.

Private charters straight to Congo Town are available from Watermakersair, who fly daily from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.
