Coningsby Inn

Description:
Location. Located one half block from the waters of the Caribbean, the Coningsby Inn has been operating as a bed and breakfast since 2000. Set in Belize City, the inn is accessible to much of what makes Belize so popular. Known for its unparalleled diving opportunities, the area is also steeped in culture and history. Surrounded on three sides by water, there are over 400 cayes (islands) off the coast of Belize, some no larger than a tennis court. Nearly 600 Mayan ruins dot the landscape, ranging from humble burial mounds to ancient metropolises such as Caracol. Hotel Features. The inn features large, beautifully furnished rooms and modern amenities. Wooden lounge chairs provide shaded seating at the front of the inn and a small balcony looks out over Regent Street. Breakfast is served daily at the restaurant on the second floor. Laundry service is available. Guestrooms. Standard amenities include cable television and Internet access. Expert Tip. Caracol is the largest archaeological site in Belize and features the largest manmade structure in the country, the 140 foot Canaa pyramid. Around 1,300 years ago Caracol was a thriving Mayan metropolis, with over 150,000 residents expanding out over 55 square miles.
