A Boutique Designer Resort and Spa in the heart of the Maya Rainforest offering adventure, wild life, snorkeling, and archeology tours.
Maruba was established in 1986 by Dr. Merickston Nicholson M.D., an oncologist from Trinidad and Tobago, and his wife Anna Nicholson, a fashion designer from Austria.
Dr. and Mrs. Nicholson along with their four children began their journey of building Maruba Resort from the Mayan Jungles of Belize. Their passion and zest for life and art along with their unquestionable love for nature can be seen in every area of the resort.
Maruba Resort Jungle Spa started as the first spa in the country of Belize and is embedded in its culture and history. Combination of Mayan, Creole and African decor, hand carved art from local artisans in the surrounding Villages,
Maruba's own natural Spa products, rich hues and fabrics, thoughtfully selected fresh ingredients for our kitchens and an infinite love of music and creativity has made this resort Belize?s finest leading Boutique Spa and Resort. Urban Jungle chic has never been so casually opulent.
Our love and devotion to nature, attention to details and the individual and personal service we dedicate to each and every guest is as much a part of us now as it was when the resort began. We look forward to giving you a memorable vacation.
