It is a 25 acre, living breathing farm situated in the scenic LURE within 15 minutes of the majestic Rainbow Waterfall and the windswept Goldsborough bay, watered by two rivers at the foothill of the world renowned Main Ridge.
The Main Ridge is the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere. Home of elusive caiman, 62 species of tropical birds, the mystical Rainbow and Twin River waterfalls.
A renovated cocoa drying house, nestled in the rain forest, offers lodging for a large family and accommodation for couples. The converted cocoa house with its movable copra tray roof, houses a country in - with 4 tastefully furnished guest rooms, with full size and twin beds, private (ensuite) bathrooms, hot and cold spring water. Linens are provided. Each room has a view out to the tropical nature of surrounding environment.
If you wish to tag along with Shirley, your host, you may be fortunate to get cooking lessons in the preparation of calaloo soups, fabulous curries or any other dish that suits your fancy. Traditional Trinidad and Tobago Cuisine is tempered with international appeal. Dont forget to ask for a special meal of curry crab and dumplings. Try the salt fish Accra, and of course her famous black cake.
