Get to know the marine mammals of Blue Lagoon Island at Dolphin Encounters. Choose from two programmes, each preceded by a 15-min orientation session. During the Close Encounter, pet, feed, hug and kiss your new-found friends while standing on a special platform in waist-deep water. The Swim-with-the-Dolphins programme includes a 30-min interactive swim, the amazing foot-push, the Flipper dance and other exciting behaviours. Also, meet the island?s newest inhabitants?six sea lions from the Marine Life Oceanarium in Gulfport, Mississippi, displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Four departures daily from the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal.

DOLPHIN SWIM PROGRAM
In the Dolphin Swim Program, you receive the unique opportunity for playful, educational interaction with these wonderful animals in the beautiful turquoise waters of our natural ocean lagoon. Your program to swim with dolphins begins with a fun orientation, briefly covering the natural history of dolphins, animal training techniques, ocean conservation and Watchable Wildlife Guidelines.
Once in your lifejacket, experience the joy of a dolphin kiss and fall in love with their gentleness as you hug a dolphin in your arms. Dance and sing with our stars then marvel at the dolphin's strength as you are propelled across the lagoon in the finale behavior --- the footpush! In this program, trainers focus on allowing everyone to enjoy a high degree of interaction with the dolphins, and at the same time, teach you about these amazing animals in their natural habitat.
Our professional photo & video staff will be capturing your swim on film so that you will have a chance to take home incredible souvenirs of your unforgettable experience.

DOLPHIN ENCOUNTER PROGRAM
In the Dolphin Encounter Program, each guest can expect a unique experience that brings you closer to an Atlantic Bottlenose dolphin than you ever dreamed possible! Not only will you see the bottlenose dolphin habitat, but you will learn important information about dolphins and the ocean too.
Your program begins with a fun, interactive, orientation briefly covering the natural history of dolphins, animal training techniques, ocean conservation and Watchable Wildlife Guidelines.
On the Dolphin Encounter float, you will stand on a waist-deep submerged platform and experience a heart-warming kiss, a hug, a dance and opportunities to rub down the dolphin. Your dolphin trainer will combine elements of hands-on contact, education, fun, laughter, and adventure to make this an unforgettable experience. While you enjoy your Dolphin Encounter and learn about the dolphin habitat you will also be in the midst of one of the finest natural attractions in the Bahamas.

SEA LION ENCOUNTER
For the first time in The Bahamas, Dolphin Encounters is pleased to offer a thrilling Encounter with California Sea Lions on magnificent Blue Lagoon Island. Based on our highly successful and award-winning dolphin interaction programs, our new educational and entertaining Sea Lion Encounter is your chance to experience sea lions live and close-up like never before in our pristine all-natural marine habitat. One of the few programs of this kind in the world, it will be a unique adventure you will never forget!
After a 20-minute scenic boat ride through historic Nassau harbour on our high-speed, double-decker catamarans to private Blue Lagoon Island and a short orientation upon arrival, you will kiss, hug, feed and play with these affectionate and humorous marine mammals and see the sea lions habitat too. Your sea lion interaction will take place from specially designed, waist-deep water platforms immersed in our calm, private island lagoon with ten or less guests in your program.
Our professional on-site photo and video staff and lab will capture your sea lion interaction and have your memorable souvenirs ready before you leave for your convenience.
After experiencing the sea lions habitat and while still at Blue Lagoon Island, you will also get a chance to observe our fascinating Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in their pristine natural lagoon setting.

Enjoy viewing native Bahamian Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and California sea lions in their all natural habitat - without getting wet!
As a native or a tourist in the Bahamas you are sure to enjoy the 20-minute journey on our high-speed catamarans that allows you to view many of the main attractions in the Bahamas. See Nassau?s historic and scenic harbour as you cruise by Paradise Island and Nassau to beautiful Blue Lagoon Island, a private island and home of Dolphin Encounters and the stars of Universal?s Flipper movie.
As an observer, your program includes the fun interactive orientation, briefly covering the natural history of dolphins, animal training techniques, ocean conservation and Watchable Wildlife Guidelines.
Once there, watch a friend or family member as they come ?face to fins? with dolphins in our amazing Dolphin Encounter or Dolphin Swim program. Enjoy the up-close and personal view of these gentle marine mammals from a nearby platform ? as you remain high and dry.
At the program areas you can take your own photos or videos from the public dock areas. However, be advised: we cannot guarantee an unobstructed view of all dolphin interactions & observers are not allowed on the platforms at any time. Sorry no exceptions.
Visit the Sea Lion habitat, the home of our California sea lions that were rescued from Gulfport, Mississippi in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina ? including the stars of the movie Andre and Slappy and the Stinkers.
