Divi and Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives Launch Facebok Page

Properties Employ the World's Largest Social Network to Increase Brand Awareness

Press Release 2011

Oranjestad, Aruba (July 11, 2011) - As a new facet of the properties' integrated online marketing plan, the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives have launched a Facebook brand page to connect directly with users on the world's largest social network.

Located at http://www.facebook.com/DiviandTamarijnAruba, the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba's official Facebook page was created on June 15, 2011. Already boasting 2,583 "likes," the page will be regularly updated with news, events, articles, images, videos, information and anecdotes about the properties. A means of interacting directly with consumers, media and the travel industry, the Facebook brand page is accessible to internet users globally. Anyone can sign up to "like" the properties and thereby post to the page, reply directly to posts, tag posts as "favorites," share posts, or even reply to attend events. Facebook's "Insights" will supply the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba with a means of measuring the effectiveness of the page by tracking likes, active users, feedback and overall engagement over time. Further, a new news blog, www.diviaruba.com/blog, provides current news, guest reviews, drink recipes and more with reader sign up for RSS feeds that send notifications when new information is posted.

"Social media use has been growing steadily in recent years, becoming popular as a means of obtaining and sharing information with friends and trusted brands," said Aracely Sansone, Vice President of Marketing for the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives. "It is important for the properties to leverage this key communications tool to build brand awareness and develop consumers' connection to the brand in order to ensure continued success in today's highly competitive marketplace."

Facebook is a social networking service and website launched in February 2004, which has more than 600 million active users as of January 2011. Based on unique monthly visitors, Facebook is the leading social networking site today. Users may create a profile, add other users as friends, and exchange messages, including automatic notifications, when they update their profile. Additionally, users may join common-interest user groups or pages (such as that established by the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba), organized by workplace, school or college, or other characteristics, by clicking on their "like" button. Facebook is becoming increasingly utilized by brands as a marketing, advertising and sales tool as well as for various means of promotion.

Located just thirty minutes from the airport and five minutes from Aruba's capital city, Oranjestad, the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba resorts are set on beautiful Druif Beach, with a shopping arcade and the Alhambra Casino nearby. Guests staying at either the AAA 3-Diamond Divi Aruba or the adjacent, oceanfront Tamarijn Aruba have use of all facilities and services of both properties. All stays at the Divi & Tamarijn Aruba include all meals and snacks at a choice of nine dining options, unlimited beverages at seven bars, the use of three freshwater pools, a wide range of activities including non-motorized water sports and nightly entertainment.

In addition, all guests may use the well-equipped Divi Winds Sports Center, which features a 30-foot outdoor rock climbing wall on the beach. At the Divi Aruba, the chic new pool deck has become a central gathering place for guests of both properties to relax. The resorts offer a variety of packages including honeymoon, family, golf and wedding packages. An onsite wedding coordinator assists with arrangements for beach weddings through Aruba Weddings For You.
