First LivingWell health club opens in the Caribbean
Hilton Curaçao promises to offer the finest combination of spa, health, beach, and fitness facilities on the island.
Curaçao (March 25, 2005) - Taking Hilton’s health club brand one step further, Hilton Curaçao celebrates its second birthday with the opening of the world’s first LivingWell Health and Beach Club, the first to offer a beach. The first LivingWell club of any kind in the Caribbean, Hilton Curaçao’s stunning beaches and pools make it the perfect venue for a healthy, fun-filled vacation.
Open for local membership as well as to hotel guests, facilities include two floodlit tennis courts, three swimming pools, two brilliantly clear beaches, and a 2,000-square-foot fitness center with Precor cardiovascular equipment, a free weights area, and a spacious aerobics studio. Qualified instructors provide individual fitness advice and lead a diverse program of exercise classes ranging from traditional aerobics to yoga and cardio kickboxing. LivingWell members also enjoy the use of more than 130 LivingWell clubs in more than 15 countries.
Adjacent to the club is the Color of People Spa, which opened its doors in September 2004 and also caters to local clientele as well as hotel guests. The spa houses four treatment rooms - three with ocean views - and uses skin care products such as Physician’s Choice and phytomer, which is made from natural sea extracts. The spa menu includes hydrotherapy, manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, and body wraps, including a soothing wrap for those who enjoyed too much sun.
For those travelling with children, the Kidz Paradise club provides supervised fun while parents enjoy a spa treatment or workout.
