Another reason to get married in the Caymans

Cayman Islands presents exclusive Crate & Barrel wedding gift to newlyweds

Cayman Islands (July 2005) - Couples now have yet another reason to choose the Cayman Islands as the setting for their wedding day. While supplies last, the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism is offering couples who marry on the island an exclusive gift from US retailer Crate & Barrel.

As a thank you for choosing the Cayman Islands as the location for their wedding, newlyweds will receive either a trio of tabletop vases or a centrepiece bowl from Crate & Barrel’s Cayman Collection, shipped direct to their door. Designed to reflect the brilliant colors of the sea, the contemporary Cayman Collection home accents come in aqua blues and greens.

“As far as I know, the Cayman Islands is the first Caribbean destination to offer such a promotion,” says Rebecca Grinnals, strategic consultant to the Department of Tourism for the wedding and honeymoon market. “We hope the beautiful gift will evoke happy memories for the couple of their time on our island paradise and remind them to come back again and again.”

“We are excited to offer such a unique gift to our newlyweds, and we are very pleased to team up with Crate & Barrel, a brand associated with quality,” says Pilar Bush, Director of Tourism. “This best of brands tie-in is very much in line with our wedding strategy and the promotion should do much to strengthen our position as the Caribbean destination of choice for discerning brides and grooms.”

The wedding gift ships directly to the couple’s home address upon return from their honeymoon. This program is available for stay-over bride and grooms while supplies last.
