Cayman Islands hosts annual Sand Sculpting Competition

Learn sand sculpting and win prizes November 12, 2005 on Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach

Learn how to create amazing sculptures out of sand. The National Gallery of the Cayman Islands’ annual Sand Sculpting Competition takes place on world-famous Seven Mile Beach on November 12th, 2005, from 8am to 11am. Professional sand sculptors, Sanding Ovations, will be on hand to show how it’s done.

Sanding Ovations will conduct two workshops open to the public and free of charge. Participants should bring a bucket, shovel and other carving tools. Prizes will be awarded in six categories: family, adult solo, adult group, teen, child, and most creative.

To register and for a list of regulations and prizes, call the National Gallery at (345) 945-8111.
