Grand Cayman hosts NBC’s travel editor

Peter Greenberg visits Grand Cayman with his live radio show, “Travel Today”

Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (November 17, 2005) – NBC Travel Expert Peter Greenberg will be visiting Grand Cayman this week, where he’ll be hosting his weekly US national radio show, “Travel Today.” The show will broadcast live from the Westin Casuarina Resort on Seven Mile Beach this Saturday, November 19, from 10am to 12 noon. The broadcast is expected to have guests from the local Caymanian community.

The Department of Tourism and the Westin worked closely together to bring this influential travel personality to Cayman.

Known widely as The Travel Detective, Peter Greenberg is the United States’ pre-eminent expert on travel and the tourism industry. An Emmy Award-winning producer and best-selling author, Greenberg is the travel Editor for NBC’s Today Show, CNBC and MSNBC, and the chief correspondent for Discovery Network’s The Travel Channel.

On “Travel Today,” Greenberg gives his listeners the best-kept travel secrets to help save them money, time, and aggravation. As well as supplying his radio callers with straightforward answers to tough travel questions, he educates them about the new rules of travel - from finessing the art of the upgrade to negotiating the best hotel room available at the lowest price. In addition, he gives listeners weekly tips about where to go, how to get there, and how to make their travel experience as exciting and memorable as possible.
