Spirit Airlines offers new non-stop service between Orlando and Montego Bay

Other new destinations include The Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Mexico, USVI, Cayman Islands, and Turks & Caicos

Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA (November 10, 2005) - Spirit Airlines now offers non-stop service from Orlando to Montego Bay, Jamaica, as well as a second daily flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Service between Orlando and Montego Bay operates Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays through December 14, 2005, and then becomes daily.

Spirit also offers new intra-Florida service to its Fort Lauderdale hub. This new service to Fort Lauderdale, in addition to being available for local traffic, will allow Orlando-area residents convenient low-fare connections to numerous tropical destinations: Nassau and San Salvador, Bahamas; Punta Cana (starting December 10, 2005) and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Montego Bay and Kingston, Jamaica; Cancun, Mexico; St. Thomas (starting December 15, 2005), US Virgin Islands; Grand Cayman (starting February 9, 2006), Cayman Islands; Providenciales (starting February 16, 2006) and Grand Turk (starting February 19, 2006), Turks & Caicos Islands.

“We are really delighted to start this service today and offer so many Caribbean options to Orlando residents,” says Barry Biffle, chief marketing officer of Spirit Airlines. “Orlando is an exceedingly important market to Spirit. Last winter we offered area residents five non-stops and seven connecting markets, but this winter locals will choose from seven non-stop markets and 19 connecting markets. As the low-fare Caribbean carrier, we look forward to sharing our hot fares, sweet new airplanes, and sexy destinations with Orlando.”
