Puerto Rico resort invites guests to discover the art of couples massage

Martineau Bay Resort & Spa’s three-day massage spa package available until September 2006

Vieques Island, Puerto Rico (July 27, 2006) – Everyone thinks they’re a good singer, the general population believes they can dance, and everyone thinks he or she is funny. Most people also think they can give a “pretty good” massage. This summer, Martineau Bay Resort & Spa is going to set the record straight – on at least one of these popular misconceptions – by inviting couples to a romantic spa date to learn the art of couples massage.

“Most couples don’t know that the main ingredient to the perfect massage is the appropriate amount of pressure,” says Helen Lugo, Spa Director for Martineau Bay Resort & Spa.

Available now through September 30, 2006, (blackout dates apply), the three-night Love, Vieques package includes deluxe accommodations (double occupancy), a bottle of the Martineau Bay spa’s signature massage oil to take home and the popular signature Martineau Bay massage offered side by side in the resort’s exclusive ocean-side cabana. While enjoying the calming sounds of the crashing waves and feeling the gentle caress of the ocean breeze, couples receive a head-to-toe custom 90-minute treatment, including a thorough body and scalp massage using Kukui nut oil, which islanders have used for centuries to moisturize, scent and nourish the body. Prior to the mood-setting massage, the staff at the Martineau Bay spa will arrange a consultation with the couple providing do-it-yourself tips and tricks to perfecting the at-home massage.

Package rates begin at $1,072 for weeknight stays and $1,180 on weekends. Love, Vieques is available by calling the resort at 1-866-837-4216. When booking, please ask for the LOVIEQUS rate package.
