Mexico’s Riviera Maya announces Fourth Annual Latin Jazz Music Festival

Set for November 2006 in Playa del Carmen, performances include Screaming Headless Torsos, Aguamala, Mint Condition, Wet Paint, Kool & The Gang, Tom Coster and a music tribute to The Beatles


Playa del Carmen, Mexico (August 21, 2006) – Riviera Maya announces the Fourth Annual Latin Jazz Music Festival set to take place November 22 – 25, 2006, in Playa del Carmen. This event is one of many festivals organized by the Riviera Maya Tourism Promotion Board and will feature top jazz performers Screaming Headless Torsos, Aguamala, Mint Condition, Wet Paint, Kool & The Gang and Tom Coster. Festival activities, to begin at 8pm nightly, will be held at Mamitas Beach on November 22 – 24 and at the Royal Porto Real on November 25.

Top musical acts scheduled to perform on their set dates are as follows:

Wednesday, November 22
Screaming Headless Torsos
Aguamala

Thursday, November 23
Mint Condition
Wet Paint

Friday, November 24
Kool & The Gang
Tom Coster

Saturday, November 25
Music tribute to The Beatles (including Wet Paint, Benny Ibarra, Tom Coster, Aguamala and Nacho Mendez)

The Riviera Maya Tourism Promotion Board, the Riviera Maya Hotel Association and the numerous sponsors who have contributed to making this event possible another year are pleased to offer free admission on November 22 – 24 to everyone who attends (a minimum donation will be required on November 25). Dario Flota, Director of the Riviera Maya Tourism Promotion Board, says, “It is another option for visitors and locals alike to explore the variety and diversity of the region.”
