Antigua & Barbuda summer 2007 hotel packages

Reduced rates, free nights and more being offered by hotels in Antigua & Barbuda this summer


Antigua, West Indies (March 28, 2007) – Travelling to the Caribbean islands of Antigua & Barbuda will be cheaper and easier this summer when vacationers discover the great package deals and specials offered by the islands’ top hotels and resorts. The summer season in the islands of Antigua & Barbuda allows travellers to take advantage of lower prices and great packages, enjoy less-crowded beaches and if they desire, to travel with their children who are on summer break.

Following is a list of hotel packages for the 2007 summer season:

BLUE WATERS
Seven Nights for Six: Stay seven nights or more and receive your first night free. This special is valid on all room categories, the same basis as meal plan, for arrivals June 1–July 24, 2007 and August 26–September 30, 2007.

Fourteen Nights for Twelve: Stay 14 nights or more and receive your first two nights free. This special is valid on all room categories, the same basis as meal plan, for arrivals June 1–July 24, 2007 and August 26–September 30, 2007.

CARLISLE BAY
Seven Nights for Five: Stay seven nights for the price of five when you book accommodations for two adults sharing an ocean suite. This special includes full breakfast and afternoon tea daily. Available April 14–November 2, 2007 (the resort is closed September 1–October 12, 2007), the cost is $3,625 per couple, plus tax and service charge.

Chill Out at Carlisle Bay Package: This package includes accommodation for seven nights at a special price, breakfast and afternoon tea daily, and three-course dinner and coffee daily, with a full choice from the à la carte menus at Indigo on the Beach or East restaurants. Available April 14–November 2, 2007 (the resort is closed September 1–October 12, 2007), the cost is $4,730 per couple, plus tax and service charge.

Blue Spa Package: This package includes accommodation for seven nights at a special price; breakfast and afternoon tea daily; three-course dinner and coffee daily, with a full choice from the à la carte menus at Indigo on the Beach or East restaurants; and four complimentary treatments at Blue Spa per suite, per week, based on double occupancy. Available April 14–November 2, 2007 (the resort is closed September 1–October 12, 2007), the cost is $5,030 per couple, plus tax and service charge.

CURTAIN BLUFF
Summer Value Season Special: For the first time in 40 years, Curtain Bluff will be staying open in the summertime at a special rate perfect for families with children of all ages. Room rates start at $495 per couple and children under the age of five stay free. A cost of $125 per night per child applies to those five and older. Book a junior suite (rates start at $625 per night) or higher category at the regular rack rate and receive a 25 per cent discount off the second room booked in the same category (based on double occupancy per suite; only for families with children; does not apply to an all-adult booking). This offer is valid June 1–August 25, 2007.

Rates include lodging, three meals daily, bar drinks, afternoon tea, hors d’oeuvres at cocktail time, a weekly beach party luncheon and nightly entertainment, as well as most activities, including a deep-sea fishing trip for the family. The Summer Value Season Special also includes free membership for each child (ages 3-9) into the new CB’s Kids Camp, which will run Monday through Friday, 9am-12 noon from July 1–August 25, 2007.

ELITE ISLAND RESORTS
Galley Bay: Slice $200 off the per room rate and receive luxurious room upgrades with a minimum of three nights. Upgrade from a superior beachfront room to a premium beachfront suite at the rate of $1,175 for three nights. Rates are valid for travel May 1–December 20, 2007.

St James Club & Villas: Slice $200 off the per room rate and receive luxurious room upgrades with a three-night minimum stay. Upgrade from a club to a suite category room with a three-night stay at $635. Rates are valid for travel May 1–December 20, 2007.

The Verandah Resort & Spa 2-for-1 Grand Opening Celebration Special: To celebrate its grand opening this June, The Verandah is allowing families or couples the opportunity to stay one night and receive one free for every night they purchase or they can elect to have an adjoining Verandah guest room free for every night they stay. Low all-inclusive children rates are available too. Rates start at $485 or $525 for a three-night minimum stay in a bay-view or oceanfront category room respectively, and are valid June 29–December 20, 2007.

To reap the summer values listed above (Galley Bay, St James’s Club and The Verandah), travel must be booked by August 1, 2007. Rates are per person, double occupancy and all-inclusive, including all meals, beverages, non-motorized watersports, hotel taxes and service charges.

Grand Pineapple Beach and Dian Bay: Receive 20 per cent off the rack rate with a three-night minimum stay at either Grand Pineapple Beach or Dian Bay. This offer is valid for travel April 16–December 20, 2007 and must be booked by May 15, 2007.

JOLLY BEACH RESORT
Low Season Deal: This deal includes standard accommodations facing the ocean; all meals, snacks and afternoon tea; house brand beverages; and non-motorized watersports for $168 per person per night, based on double occupancy, inclusive of tax and service charge. Children 3-11 years old stay for $52 per night and kids under three years stay free all the time. This package is available April 16–December 20, 2007, and there is no supplement for a single parent sharing with up to two kids.

JUMBY BAY, A ROSEWOOD RESORT
Escape to Luxury: This package includes courtyard suites at $450 per person per night; welcome culinary amenity; breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily; beverages and cocktails by the glass; house wine by the glass; afternoon tea daily; non-motorized watersports; use of tennis courts, pool, fitness centre and croquet field; managing director’s cocktail party; and sunset cocktail cruise (Friday evenings).

Nightly rack rates are priced in US dollars, per person, based on double occupancy, and are subject to a 10.5 per cent government tax and a 10 per cent service charge. Children (2-12 years sharing) are $75 per night; those under two years (sharing) are free of charge. This offer is valid May 5-12, May 18-31 and June 1–November 17, 2007.
