Dive with sharks in The Bahamas and learn underwater photography from a world-famous photographer

Join Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas and Steven Frink November 2005 for this unique opportunity

Fort Lauderdale, Florida (August 2005) - Make this fall a memorable one - dive with sharks in The Bahamas while learning how best to photograph these predators and other ocean life. From November 5th to 12th, 2005, the shark experts at Stuart Cove’s Dive Bahamas and world-famous underwater photographer Stephen Frink will get you up close and personal with sharks and help you get the best shots to prove it!

No matter your diving or photography skill level, the Great Bahamas Shark Shootout combines a thrilling adventure with the opportunity to learn about underwater photography from a true legend. Stephen Frink, the world's most frequently published underwater photographer, has contributed to numerous publications including TIME, NEWSWEEK, ISLANDS, TRAVEL AND LEISURE, ESQUIRE, and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. He writes a regular column on underwater photography trends and techniques for SCUBA DIVING magazine and has written or contributed to a number of books on the subject. He also teaches at the Stephen Frink School of Underwater Photography at his home base in Key Largo, Florida.

Located near Nassau on the island of New Providence, the staff at Stuart Cove’s have long been known for their shark expertise. This year marks the 10th straight year they have been involved with the Discovery Channel’s Shark Week series. Earlier in the year they worked with Discovery to film the "MythBusters - Jaws Special," which tests common shark myths, such as punching a shark in the nose to make it go away. They have also worked on numerous movies, including the 2003 release AFTER THE SUNSET, starring Woody Harrelson, Pierce Brosnan, and Salma Hayek, and their first movie, the 1980’s James Bond flick, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY.

The Great Bahamas Shark Shootout package starts at $1,518 per person, double occupancy and includes round-trip airport transfers; seven nights accommodation at the beachfront Wyndham Nassau Resort and Casino; two days of shark diving on a private boat hosted by Claudia Pellarini, Stuart Cove’s resident photo pro at Fin Photo; four days of shark diving on a private boat with Stephen Frink; welcome breakfast at Stuart Cove’s; farewell dinner at the Marketplace Restaurant located in the mythical setting of Atlantis resort; Stuart Cove's shark awareness specialty certification; event T-shirt and goody bag; and personal photography coaching by Stephen Frink and the staff of Fin Photo.

Stuart Cove’s also offers a two-tank Shark Adventure™ dive program. Free swim with the sharks on your first dive then kneel on the sandy ocean bottom as a professional feeds the sharks on your second dive. During this eye-popping, heart-thumping experience the sharks come very close - you may even feel a fin tap your shoulder as a shark glides by - but don’t worry, they only come for the bait.

Shark Adventure™ packages for fall 2005 start at $313 per person, double occupancy, and include two nights accommodation; one day of diving, including a two-tank morning dive and the two-tank Shark Adventure™; and all taxes and service charges.
