Favourite among musicians, Bahamas resort offers reduced rates this summer

Hip Compass Point in Nassau offers summer rates starting at $215 per night

Jamaica (April 24, 2007) – Summer in The Bahamas means more than radiant sun-filled days and balmy nights of passion – it's time to visit world-famous destinations at a great rate. Compass Point, the intimate Nassau resort and beloved retreat to legendary musicians, welcomes guests this season with rates as low as $215 per night.

Rates at Compass Point through November 17, 2007 begin at $215 per night for a sea-view studio and extend up to $365 per night for an elevated two-bedroom sea-view hut. Rates are based on single or double occupancy and subject to a 20 per cent government tax and service charge.

Originally created by Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, Compass Point is a contemporary sanctuary that inspires creativity and romance. Adjacent to Love Beach, the scene here is serene, relaxed and private.

For summer fun, snorkelling and authentic land, sea and eco-tours can be arranged. A freshwater pool and nearby golf course are also available. The outdoor Ocean Bar and indoor Alcove Bar each serve as a respite with tantalizing cocktails. A short drive to Cable Beach and downtown Nassau, Compass Point ensures nightlife and shopping is always close at hand.

Created by Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records and Palm Pictures, Island Outpost properties are known for their interesting character and stunning surroundings, and strive to offer their clients a feeling reminiscent of staying at a friend’s home. The group includes Goldeneye, Strawberry Hill, Jake’s and The Caves in Jamaica, Compass Point and Pink Sands in The Bahamas and an exclusive selection of villas.
