Description:
Discover the casual elegance of a sophisticated Bahamas Resort in the exotic Out Islands of Great Abaco. Located on Green Turtle Cay, an island just three miles in length, in the Bahamas Family Islands and reached only by boat, the Green Turtle Club and Marina sits on a picturesque harbor surrounded by some of the most spectacular beaches in the world.

About
With an enviable location, the Green Turtle Club is centrally located to be within a short golf cart commute of town and it is the only resort on Green Turtle Cay within an easy walk (less than 10 minutes) from the breathtaking beaches on the Atlantic side of the Cay. The highly acclaimed Club Restaurant features freshly caught Abaco seafood with a new menu nightly of World/Caribbean fusion cuisine. Established in 1964, the Resort and Marina were designed and built to be in harmony with the colonial charm of Green Turtle Cay and the Loyalist settlement of New Plymouth. Honoring the tradition of old English-Bahamian hospitality, the Club offers a quality of service and attention to detail that is no longer commonplace, finding a perfect combination of Out Island relaxation and sophisticated comfort.

Vacation on an island where crime, pollution, traffic and casinos are nonexistent. Fish or sail, snorkel or dive in the turquoise gin clear waters or just unwind, relax and recharge on the beach or by the pool. Explore remote islands, beaches and secret coves of 17th century Caribbean pirates or visit quaint 18th century fishing villages first settled during the Revolutionary War by Loyalists who fled to Abaco and the other Islands of The Bahamas.

The Green Turtle Club and Marina lies a mere 160 miles east of mainland Florida and is easily reached by dependable air service from South Florida and Nassau into Treasure Cay International (TCB) on mainland Abaco. From there it is just a 5 minute taxi ($4 per person, $8 minimum) followed by a 15 minute ferry ride ($13 per person) to the Club Reception and a welcome Tipsy Turtle Rum Punch to help to settle into "island time". Marsh Harbour International Airport (MHH) can be used as an alternative and is a 25 minute taxi ride to the ferry dock.

Dining
Start your vacation days off right with a selection from our breakfast menu. Breakfast is served daily from 7:15 am to 10:30 am on our covered patio, overlooking the white sand beach of White Sound Harbor. Our menu boasts generous portions of a variety of breakfast dishes including omelettes, French toast made with Bahamian bread, fluffy pancakes, traditional eggs benedict, fresh fruit and much more.

Lunch begins at 11:30 am and ends at 2:45 pm every day and is served on our covered patio. Guests can also have lunch on the outside deck. Our lunch menu offers soup, salads, sandwiches, platters and combinations featuring fresh, local Abaco seafood. Highlighting our lunch menu is homemade lobster salad and Bahamian specialties everyone looks forward to including cracked conch, conch chowder, conch fritters, and grouper. Of course our menu includes burgers, fries and chicken as well. We also offer a creative lunch special each day.

Dinner at The Green Turtle Club is a culinary experience not to be missed. Our dinner menu sets a new standard for Caribbean dining as our staff achieves culinary excellence with classic dishes and a knowledge of regional recipes that appeal to all palates.

Activities
Visit the historic settlement of New Plymouth, a quiet 18th century village by the sea, with its museums, sculpture garden, shops, restaurants and pastel-painted clapboard-covered gingerbread homes that remind one of a turn-of-the-century village of the New England coast.

Spend a day with the legendary Lincoln Jones and have a day of adventure and a delicious beach picnic at "Lincoln Park" on deserted Munjack Cay. You can snorkel and fish, and catch or spear your own lunch. Or just kick back and watch Lincoln and his son, Marcus, in action diving and spearing lobster and local fish. After swimming, snorkeling and fishing, get ready for a party on the beach. Lincoln will prepare all of the fresh catch for your lunch while you enjoy the rum punch! Ask the staff at The Green Turtle Club to make your reservations.
