Two New Dive Sites at Small Hope Al's Cooler and Landing Strip are latest Andros dive sites Press Release 2012
Andros, Bahamas (September 26, 2012) - We have two new dive sites at Small Hope!!!
The first site, known as Al's Cooler, is a beautiful wall site named for two long-time guests Al and Alison. They went on a exploratory dive on their last visit and stumbled on an old fishing box along the top of the wall. As Al and Alison are big fans of ice-cold Kalik, our Bahamian beer, we decided to name it Al's Cooler.?
The second of our new dive sites is a special spot called the Landing Strip.
When we received information of a small crashed plane on one of the Berry Islands, our staff drove the Big Boat up north to pick it up. They brought the plane back to Small Hope. We then found an ideal spot for our new site and sunk the plane there. It is a beautiful sandy patch amid nice coral growth. The site is in 35-50 feet of water so it is a great dive for both experienced and beginning divers.
