Cayman Islands resort extends its Caribbean Winter Sale

Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Beach Suites offers reduced rates for bookings made before April 15, 2006

(January 2006) – Due to popular demand, Hyatt Resorts’ Caribbean Winter Sale at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Beach Suites has been extended. Guests can save up to 35 per cent off rack room rates when they make reservations before April 15, 2006 (previously this offer expired on December 30) for travel until April 22, 2006 (black-out dates apply). Winter Sale rates start as low as $530.40 per night (regular rack rate leads in at $850 plus tax and service).

The newly renovated Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman Beach Suites, located on Seven Mile Beach, offers 53 luxurious, air-conditioned, one- and two-bedroom oceanview and oceanfront rooms. Each guest suite, able to sleep up to two adults and two children (ages 18 and under), offers 640 square feet of luxurious living space with its own kitchenette and an expansive terrace. Gourmands will enjoy two on-property restaurants – the vibrant Bamboo sushi lounge and the award-winning Hemingways, well known for its legendary Caribbean cuisine. Additionally, the Seven Mile Beach Bar, located right on the beach, and the Wreck Bar and Grille, located at Rum Point Beach, both offer guests a casual dining experience.

Watersports fanatics will not be disappointed as the on-site dive and watersports facility, Red Sail Sports, rents sailing crafts and beach toys, including sailboats, sea kayaks, wave runners and the latest dive and snorkel equipment. The full-service operation, located on Seven Mile Beach in the resort’s beachfront addition, emphasizes quality, convenience and safety, and takes full advantage of Grand Cayman's optimum year-round diving opportunities.

A state-of-the-art dive boat ferries guests to the Cayman Islands' coral reefs and sunken wrecks for day and night dives. Red Sail Sports offers resort courses and PADI certification programs for non-certified divers, special interest courses such as the PADI underwater naturalist and Nitrox dive training, and diving programs for the disabled, with instructors certified by the Handicapped Scuba Association, PADI and NAUI.

Always innovating, Red Sail Sports also offers SASY for kids (Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth). Children ages four to seven can join their diving parents on ocean scuba adventures dressed in a custom-made scuba unit. Kids snorkel with scuba tank and gear.

Additional instruction for both adults and children is available in all other watersport activities, including sailing instruction. Red Sail Sports can also set up deep-sea fishing excursions.

Additionally, three wing-masted excursion catamarans are available for daily snorkel trips, sunset and dinner sails, and private charters. All boating expeditions depart resort side, from the hotel’s own waterway.

The resort’s Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, one of only two courses in the Cayman Islands, can be played as a championship-level nine-hole course or as an 18-hole executive course. Guests may reserve tee times 48 hours in advance. Regulation golf is available daily. The nine-hole, par 35, regulation course measures 3,202 yards. Played twice over, its rating is 68.7 with a slope of 119.
