The Relais & Chateaux Montpelier Plantation & Beach is elegantly embedded in the surrounding landscape. Our holistic approach allows you to savour the joy of healthy living through good food, fine wine and wellness that is both active and relaxing. Let yourself discover your energy within.

It just keeps getting better and better! Montpelier is pleased to announce that work has just been completed at "Montpelier Beach" further enhancing the guests' stay. Situated within a hidden alcove on one of the best stretches of beach in Nevis, Montpelier's beach hideaway is exclusive for guests only. Six private cabanas have been completed offering shade, privacy and complete seclusion. The framed windows capture views of the aqua blue sea allowing guests to escape and unwind with a true Caribbean experience. The bar lounge has wonderful oversized couches with throw pillows, ideal for an afternoon nap or merely sipping a refreshing Pina Colada created by beach attendant Hanley.

THE PLANTATION
Montpelier Plantation has been meticulously restored in keeping with its heritage of elegance and style. It is a sanctuary of beauty far from the stresses of modern life. Set in a sixty-acre estate 750 feet up in the hills of Nevis, the hotel has 19 rooms - all with sea views and a private beach is a short ride away.

Service is personable and discreet, and we take great pride in making sure every guest's stay is just right for them. While you unwind at Montpelier we will help you make your leisure time creative and your quiet time productive.

If you are looking for some adventure in between your naps, Montpelier's beach is perfect. Snorkeling equipment is complimentary and available in a variety of sizes to outfit our guests. Or rev up those muscles and explore the coast of Nevis in one of our ocean kayaks. Sand and sea not your thing? Don't worry. Our two Trek mountain bikes will give you the freedom to explore the island's main road and can even be ridden back to the hotel if you are feeling adventurous.

Montpelier is the only hotel that offers guests the ability to enjoy the Caribbean Sea during the day and then the cool trade winds back at the Plantation in the evening. Come and enjoy the best of both worlds!

ROOMS
Our Luxury Rooms and Suites are designed with a light touch and sense of intimacy. Where possible the best use of open spaces has been made so you move effortlessly between the indoors and outdoors. The ever present Trade Winds are harnessed in the layout of the cottages, although all rooms have air-conditioning.

We continue to develop amenities for our Villas to include flat screen TV, iPod docking stations, complimentary WiFi hot spots and in-room Nespresso machines.

DINING
We take pride in using local fruits, vegetables, poultry and fish whenever possible. This is part of our commitment to developing and preserving Nevis. Wherever you choose to dine at Montpelier you will find an ambiance infused with island grace.

Start your day with all the delights of the Caribbean: fresh fruits, homemade yoghurt and jams, hot out of the oven breads complimented by local eggs and bacon. As you relax in the afternoon, lunch and afternoon tea is served beside the pool. We are happy to prepare a gourmet picnic for you to have at the beach or to take with you to enjoy as you discover the island.

In the evening there are three dining choices:

Indigo: Opened in 2010 with a tapas-inspired menu, Indigo has an extensive list of wines by the glass and offers guests a chic, casual dining option. It is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6 pm to 9 pm.

The 750: Formerly The Terrace, this restaurant was renamed in 2011 in honor of the resort being 750-ft. above sea level. For unobtrusive, al fresco dining, the 750 - Montpelier Plantation's AAA Four Diamond restaurant - is complete with fabulous views overlooking the lights of Charlestown and St. Kitts.

The Mill: Our 300 year-old sugar mill, converted into the only restaurant of its kind in the world. With its original steps, floor and cut stonewalls the setting is magical.

For special celebrations we can create a venue that is perfect for you.
