High on Morne Anse Chastanet, overlooking St. Lucia's Piton World Heritage site and the Caribbean Sea, Jade Mountain is Anse Chastanet's new and exclusive resort within a resort. Anse Chastanet's architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy has expanded upon his philosophy of building in harmony with caribbean nature and environment by introducing a new level of sophistication in the design of Jade Mountain with its extraordinary infinity pool suites. Expect grand sweeping spaces beyond your imagination, with your bedroom, living and extravagantly sized private infinity edge pool gliding into one another to form an amazing platform floating in space with the 4th wall missing entirely - the result is a stage-like setting from which to embrace the full glory - and infinite views - of St. Lucia's twin pitons and the shimmering Caribbean Sea - a view you will never, ever forget.

Jade Mountain has its own exclusive reception area and concierge services. Fine clothing and gifts are available at the resort's boutique Shades of Jade. The Jade Mountain Spa is an oasis for the ultimate rejuvenating experience.

The Jade Mountain suites are deliberately techno-free just like the rest of Anse Chastanet - there are no telephone, radio or television. Each suite has a unique bell pullcord to summon a dedicated room service and housekeeping team 24 hours a day.

Internet access is available at reception (for those truly determined diehards who simply cannot let go, forget the outside world (And float away as the resort would like you to!).

Integral to the suites is the Jade Mountain Club - a casual space in which to enjoy a drink or light meal - the club centre also features a large communal infinity pool. Hovering in space above the Jade Mountain Club is the Celestial Terrace.

Enjoy the exclusivity and private setting of Jade Mountain with all of Anse Chastanet's leisure and sports facilities as well as 2 beaches which are available to Jade Mountain guests at all times.

Room Descriptions:
All of the infinity pool suites at Jade Mountain feature the most spectacular views imaginable of the Pitons world heritage site and the Caribbean Sea. The suites are each individually designed and each suite and pool are uniquely different in lay out and shape. The suites are large - openly designed - spaces in which the bathroom, bedroom and living areas and the infinity edge pool areas with 15 ft high soaring ceilings flow into one another. There is no formal separation between the sleeping and living spaces.

The rooms have multiple ceiling fans and all rooms have the 4th wall missing completely. All rooms have kingsize beds. All rooms have refrigerators, in suite coffee makers, irons and ironing boards. The "Sun" infinity pool suites also have a small wine cellar in addition to the refrigerator.

The bathrooms:
The bathrooms have tropical hardwood vanities with fine brushed stainless steel or nickel plated European fixtures. Smooth, cool, coral tile floors and shimmering handmade glass tile shower walls and high tech stainless steel shower units with powerful massage jets and a gentle rain fall shower head. Polished mirrors, custom light fixtures and porcelain washbowls. Adjustable makeup mirrors and hairdryers.

Each bathroom features a large whirlpool tub for two on a raised dias overlooking your room, pool and the view. The whirlpools are all equipped with strategically placed point-massage jets that can each be controlled by the client as they wish. Each tub is also equipped with the very latest in 'chroma-therapy' - based on the theory that colors affect bio-rhythms and life equilibrium.

The Infinity Pools:
The private en-suite infinity edge pools range from 400 to over 900 sq. feet - their size increases in relation to the different square footage of the three different room categories SUN, MOON AND STAR.

All pools feature shallow water lounging areas in addition to a large swimming area 4' 6" in depth. They are illuminated at night with fiber optic lights the color of which guests can personally control.

All of the pools have been surfaced entirely in one of a kind glass tiles, which have been specifically designed for the Jade Mountain and have been christened "Prince Troubetzkoy glass" by the manufacturer. The glass tiles feature a sophisticated, textured iridescent surface on one side and a smooth but undulating surface on the other. The pools are lined with the iridescent side facing out, while the bathrooms in each suite have the tiles mounted with the smooth, undulating surface facing out.

Each of the infinity pools has its own individualistically designed glass tile color scheme which then carries on into the individual bathrooms, giving each suite its own unique - and rather bold - personality.

The glass tile fixture is complex in reflective and prismatic ways with each piece of tile unique due to their custom hand crafted fabrication.

Room Categories
In typical Anse Chastanet fashion, each of the infinity pool suites at Jade Mountain has been individually designed. 3 room rate categories have been created to reflect the square footage of the suites, size of pool and the scope of the view. Please note that all suites have a phenomenal view of the Pitons and the Caribbean Sea. An additional panoramic quality to the view is provided by suites on particular elevations and those located on corners.

WELCOME
What were Caribbean hotels like before trade winds were replaced by blasts of air conditioning, when morning exercise was a walk on the beach and when you sat watching the sunset instead of cable TV? You can still find that Classic Caribbean at Anse Chastanet Resort on St. Lucia?s quiet southwestern coast where two magical peaks, the Pitons, leap from the sea and the mountains are covered with luminous greenery.
Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy believes passionately in nature. So he created a hotel that makes the foliage and the flowers, the perfumes and the peaks, the sea and the bird song an integral part of your vacation experience. The estate encompasses 600 lush tropical acres bordering two soft sand beaches. Not only do you get a World Heritage Site anchored by the twin peaks on land, the resort?s two crystal-clear bays are part of a designated marine reserve protecting miles of colorful coral reefs teeming with tropical fish.

With such a unique setting as his canvas, Nick Troubetzkoy was inspired to design a one-of-a-kind resort. He was committed to an environmentally conscious development before ?green? became fashionable.

A dozen rooms are tucked in behind the coconut palms that line the beach and the remainder tiptoe up a flower decked hillside. To make the most of the panoramic views and the refreshing tradewinds octagonal whitewashed cottages come with wraparound flower draped balconies and louvered windows.

Extra-large deluxe and premium suites underscore the visionary, innovative, sometimes whimsical side of Nick Troubetzkoy: in one suite, the balcony is built around a full-grown red gommier tree; in another a flamboyant tree drapes its red blossoms around the balcony. Some have their 4th wall open entirely to the vistas, yet are completely private.

Anse Chastanet?s ever growing art collection provides a visual feast of its own. There are impressive wooden sculptures and plaques, earthy burlap compositions, painted ?sky ceilings? and vibrant acrylic paintings invoking memories of Matisse and Picasso.

And while the sensuous seclusion of the rooms provides some guests with the perfect excuse for lolling away the day on the balcony, others head out to partake in the many activities on offer; yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation.

The less actively inclined simply do nothing, lie on the beach or get pampered in the resort?s spa, Kai Belt?. There is a casual beachside bar and restaurant; on the hillside, a panoramic hillside lounge and two treehouses provide the romantic setting for candlelit dinners, with musical backdrops by local entertainers. Tranquility, Romance and Adventure at Anse Chastanet.
